About us

Me gusta el turismo is a website of guides to the filming locations of films and series shot in Spain. Each guide gathers the real places where a work was filmed, with the address, how to get there and whether you can visit. Articles are signed by the editorial team: a small group that prefers to get one thing right rather than be first with it.

What we write about

• Guides by film or series: the real places where it was shot, arranged in routes you can do on foot or by public transport.
• How to visit each place: address, map, ticket price if there is one, opening hours and whether you need to book.
• What you can and cannot see: some locations are private or can only be seen from outside. We say so for each one.
• Travel tips: when to go, where to take the photo and what else is nearby.

How we check each location

• Two independent sources. A location goes into a guide only if at least two independent sources confirm it was filmed there, for example the city film office, the official website of the place or the press of the time.
• Official addresses. We use the address published by the monument, museum or institution itself.
• Coordinates from Google Maps. The coordinates of each point are taken from Google Maps and compared with the official address before publication.
• Prices and hours from the official site. We copy them from the place’s own page and note the date of the last check on each guide. If we could not confirm them, we do not make them up: we say so.
• Real photos with a licence. The photographs come from Wikimedia Commons. Next to each one you will find its author, its licence and a link to the source page.
• No invented experience. We do not write “we went” or “we were told” unless it is true. What we tell you comes from the sources we link at the end of each guide.
• Corrections. Prices and hours change. When something goes out of date, we update the guide and change its update date.
